Flow Through Technology

Using a flow-through test, a sample is placed onto an unbacked membrane that is on top of an absorbant pad. The sample flows through the test zone on the membrane where the taget entity is captured. A colored label is subsequently added onto the membrane and allowed to completely flow through it. Wash solution is added to the surface and the test result is read. These tests are usually quantitative or qualitative.
